What counts as a dental emergency?
If you’re unsure whether your situation needs urgent attention, here are the most common reasons people contact us for emergency care:

- A dental abscess or facial swelling
- Bleeding that won’t settle

Out-of-hours dental emergencies
If you have a dental emergency outside of our opening hours, please call our dedicated out-of-hours patient line: 03301 759 995
This line is available when the practice is closed and will connect you with out-of-hours support. If you are experiencing severe swelling, difficulty breathing or swallowing, or any other medical emergency, please call 999 or go to your nearest A&E immediately.
You can also contact NHS 111 (online or by phone) for advice on urgent dental problems when your dentist is unavailable.
